Haikus

Öffne Kühlschranktür.
Find dort immer nur Essen
Doch keine Freude.

I open the fridge
And find there still only food
But no happiness.

Wenn Glück alles ist,
Was es zu erreichen gilt,
Werd ich nicht glücklich.

If it's happiness
That's all there is to achieve,
I can't be happy.

Auf der Achterbahn
Und im eiskalten Bergbach
Denkt Denken sich nicht.

One roller coasters
And in ice cold mountain creeks
Thoughts don't think of thoughts.

Mit vielen Tränen
Habe ich sie zerstückelt.
Ich hasse Zwiebeln!

I was crying much
While I cut them to pieces.
How I hate onions!

Es war ein Hase
Verhakt im Elektrozaun
Zappel-Maden-voll.

There once was a hare
Caught in the electric fence
Wiggling maggot full.

Dämmerung umarmt
Die schlummernden Waldwege
Und erweckt den Dachs.

Twilight embraces
The slumbering forest path
Wakening badgers.

Scared little robin
Unaware that catching hands
Carry to freedom.

I woke from my thoughts
And can not now remember
What they were about.

I searched on Google,
But it was half in a dream:
Results were not real.

The Father's embrace
After all I grieved Him with
Buys me back from Death.

The primal whale dream
Humans' hands will never grasp
But space folk pay for.

Two trees hold the moon
Hanging in their skyline gap
Where heaven meets earth.

Only moss survives
An ants crawl the round stone maze
Pansies seek to flee.
