This is my attempt to translate "Das ästhetische Wiesel" by Christian Morgenstern. It is far from a literal translation and mostly focus on imitating what the original did with rhymes.
A weasel
Was painting on an easel,
and the paint was thinned with diesel.
The gist
of why?
The dragonfly
told me by the east
shore of the the lake:
The sophist-
icated beast
did it for rhyming's sake!
